Embossit

December 05, 2011 by Fred Key

Embossit is a unique device that allows both sighted and Blind individuals to easily emboss (in Braille) business cards and other small paper products. The device was invented by a gentleman in Canada. It is gaining increased popularity. The use of this is device is entirely manual:no electricity, no batteries, no computer. A perfect device to start a Braille embossing business or to comply with accessibility regulations.

Recently one of his devices found a home in South Carolina. On December 5, 2011, I will discuss this item at the annual North Carolina training conference for Assistive Consultants for the Blind.
